Mr Kunal Bhakhri

Mr Kunal Bhakhri undertook his specialist Cardio-thoracic training at Royal Papworth Hospital. At the end of his residency, Mr Bhakhri undertook a robotic thoracic fellowship at Guy’s Hospital.

At UCLH he specialises in the treatment of thoracic conditions and treats benign and malignant thoracic disease. His speciality focus is on performing minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery for lung and mediastinal conditions.

Research interests

Robotic Surgery – Curriculum development and quality outcomes for mediastinal and lung resections in comparison to open and other minimal access approaches.

He has developed a portfolio as a medical educator with a higher degree in medical education. Mr Bhakhri has applied his higher learning theories in the implementation of robotic thoracic surgical curriculum in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and published in peer review journals.
